Hellboy Flame Enters Anger ManagementByon February 6, 2012

I’ve known Selma Blair best for her work as the flame-powered Liz in the Hellboy films, but she’s actually done quite a bit of television work, hence her recent casting in FX’s upcoming comedy, Anger Management. I think by now we should all know Anger Management is Charlie Sheen’s new show, the first one he’s done since his big meltdown and firing from Two and a Half Men. There’s something about this story that I find tragic.

Blair is not a bad actress, but I can’t really think of anything good she’s been in recently. Her most recent starring television role was in the atrocious remake of the Australian series, Kath & Kim. I won’t lie and say I’m a fan of Charlie Sheen. I’m not. I can’t help but to feel getting involved in anything he does is career suicide. I would like to think he’ll do well in this new series, but we won’t really know until it starts.

According to TVLine, Sheen plays a former baseball player with sever anger issues who somehow becomes a therapist, giving unconventional anger management to his patients. Blair will play the therapist to Sheen’s character and also a possible love interest. Already I’m not enjoying what this series has to offer. Right now there is no premiere date, but FX has order 10 episodes for its first season. Until I see it for myself, I will continue to be unnecessarily negative toward Anger Management. If it can prove itself to be a good series I will retract anything bad I’ve ever said and will say.
